I am searching for my son Simon, who was born on the 13/5/1969, at Helm Chase Maternity Home , Kendall, Westmoreland (now Cumbria). He was adopted through the Church of England Childrens Society,(now The Childrens Society). All I Know is that he was adopted by a couple who were possibly teachers or lecturers. There may well be a Scottish connection. His adopted parents sent me two pictures of him, One at the age of six weeks and one at about 2 months. I never heared anything else after that. Seldom, does a day go by when I don`t think about him, his picture is on my dressing table , along with pictures of the family I had later. They all know about Simon, and hope one day to meet him. I was given no choice other than to have him adopted. It`s a terrible thing to have your week old baby, taken from your arms, knowing you will never see him again.
Anyone who thinks they might have a connection with Simon,( he may well have had his name changed, of course, but I was led to believe that they kept the name Simon) Please e-mail me. jokendall@live.co.uk. Thanks
